4. A well-constructed building has a better chance of withstanding natural disasters such as typhoons, tornadoes, and earthquakes.

“A well-constructed building can withstand natural disasters such as typhoons tornadoes, and earthquakes.”

如果要講「機會」,必須用另一個字 survive(「有/無機會捱過災難」是合理的),成為
“A well-constructed building has a better chance of surviving natural disasters such as typhoons, tornadoes, and earthquakes.”

6. Because the new principal is young and inexperienced, the teachers are skeptical about whether he can run the school well.
“The new principal is young and inexperienced, so the teachers are skeptical about whether he can run the school well.”
